Saint-Chamond 1/1 Replica at Péronne
Permalink

We were struggling for time, so decided to drop the visit to Péronne, because I'd been there before, and go straight to Manchester Hill. That was a pity, because there is a full-size Saint-Chamond - in expanded polystyrene - in the courtyard. It's been there since March last year, and is set to remain until 2018.

They made a 1/10 scale to begin with, then a 1/1.

Our friend Bryn Hammond saw it some time ago, but didn't alert his chums at Landships II. Tut tut.
