Marginally outside our subject, but this trip was led by Dwight Eisenhower, and the film is most entertaining.

There is a small debate in The Encyclopaedia That Any Clown Can Edit as to whether a tank, either an FT or an M1917, accompanied the convoy. I can't see one in the film, but you will see very clearly a Holt Artillery Tractor, which might be what has confused certain sources.

Yes, no sign of a tank. The little tracked mover is shown several times, at 11.51 it's being unloaded off the back of a truck, the combined weight having caused a wooden bridge to fail.

I think it was built by Maxwell under licence. I will have a check later on.
