The base and the wheel are 3D prints. The parts in the second photo are the outer and inner side of the left hand side of the carriage. The third photo is the upper side of the carriage.
Nearly, 1/72. The Lanz is also partly a 3D print... The hoop of the back wheel, the front wheel and the air intake are prints. The inside of the chassis, the engine compartment and ballast box, are also prints but clad with styrene and details also in styrene. The spokes and the tread of the back wheels are also in styrene.
I wouldn't be holding my breath if I were you. I have several projects dating back to 2014 that still haven't been completed...
Hi Jack,
Yep. See attached. They are rough drawings, as I haven't come round to put them to ink. I deduced the lenght and height from the size of the back wheel. The width was a bit more tricky, but was done in the same way. I first made a paper model to find out if I got the dimensions more or less right. These drawings are for the paper model I made. From that I started printing/building one in plastic.
With kind regards,
-Arie.

In fact, in the last three years I started at least 10 projects, but I finished only one. And no, it isn't the Lanz, as these are only in their base colour with two washes added...
And now complete with breech. This was a bitch to draw in 3D due to the complex shapes. I also made the mistake of making the attachment parts for the recuperators too thin, so these didn't print too well and I had to redraw and print them again.
I am not too sure about the shape of the barrel though, especially the points where it tapers. Any comments?
There are only so many rivets you can place before you get utterly bored, so I did some further 3D printing, this time of the back base. Both the front and the back base still have to be clad in styrene and the details have to be added.
I just finished printing the cradle. For ease of sanding etc, it is printed in 4 parts. It is designed so the gun tube can slide in, just like the real gun...
