I just wonder, at most of the pictures available there are no Lewis MG attached to the Male Sponsons. This may be because they're boken or not in active use while photographed?!
1) So I like to know, where they attached just before getting in combat? 2) Was it usual to attach all 3 MG (also the front MG, between the driver hatches)? 3) Were the "normal" Lewis- Gun used, or was there a shortend handle version for Tank use? 4) And at last (by now..), were was the balance point while attached? I think it should be point up outwards, because the magazin, handle and mechamism should be heavier than the barrel. But, it seems that they hang down?
Ok, one more.. 5) If they weren't attached, was there a possibility to close the "ball"? Or did they turn it around, so that it isn't oppened at all? In this case, in what radius is it turnable?
I would be very grateful if somebody has some info (maybe with pics) about this!
I'd posted this in the "Tanks" section of the forum, but maybe it would be also interesting in the "Modelling" chart? If so please feel free to move it.
