While I'm still waiting for a little detail for my MK.IV Male I had make the "Grandmother" of it..

Very nice work, Woolhodden - your muted colour scheme has really captured the forlorn look of this wreck. The commander of D Coy. and GOC of the 47th Div. protested the decision to send tanks into the wreckage of High Wood, but the Corps commander insisted upon doing so with predictable results - three of the four tanks ditched before penetrating the wood. Sampson's "Delilah" did the best, getting past the German front trench before stopping because of engine trouble, then being hit by artillery fire.
You've astutely noted that the hydraulic cylinder is missing the armour plating, and seem to have modelled the plating as being partially demolished. I believe, however, that this armour was not actually fitted to the tanks until after the battle of Flers-Courcelette.
looks good! One question: is the lefthand sponson's rear machinegun hanging to far out? Or is that due to the battle damage? Best regards, Willem
It hangs a bit far out due battle action or hastly try of recovering (artists choice..). This side isn't docomented by photos and I liked to dispay one MG with armour completed. But due the fact it would be recovered by abdon the tank, I'd chosen this way. The other one is battle damaged and left in pace, like the photo says, one is removed with just the armour left -and this is "complete" (it seems to fall mostly out by trying to recover it under fire?)
Rhomboid: good view for details, you have! I wasn't sure about this and rook this, also, as choice for some detail and battle damage scrap. To give it some more to discover, as you did!
Thanks for your critics, they are welcome!
