I've recently completed the construction phase of the Masterbox Mark II female. I had to make a few changes.
Changed the round track tensioner ends to square with flattened solder.
Replaced the rubber band kit tracks with W^D resin ones. The grousers are from JK Resin
Replaced the Lewis guns and shields with those made by JK Resin. The barrels are turned brass.
After priming the model, Mark I Nut told me that the circular ridges on the cab roof should not be there. I removed the cab periscope ridges. Had to replace the rivets that were destroyed in the process. I used Archer decals - their rivets are wonderful.
Very nicely done - I plan on following a similar route myself at some point, so it's nice to see the JK turrets & Lewis barrels & the W^D/JK track 'in action' as it were.
The JK Resin update sets for the Lewis guns are great. I also have their Vickers set for the Mark I Female. That kit will be started in the near future.
