This brought back some memories - the Bovington Mk IX, in, according to the caption, 1981.  I'm grateful to this gent for publishing the pictures. https://www.flickr.com/photos/richard64pics/8063585757 There's also the Female Mk IV, with a glimpse of Mk VIII in the background, and the Mk V in that ghastly 1970s camo scheme.

I saw these on display outdoors long before 1981 - must have been late 1960s. I'm surprised they weren't moved indoors sooner - does anyone know when they were brought under cover?

I took some photos with my Box Brownie (see below), and actually had a couple printed in Airfix Magazine letters. The photos are long gone, I'm afraid, so it's nice to see these.

In those days that was the front of the museum, with the entrance, it's the opposite now.

I've s photo from the late 70s/early 80s somewhere, with the MkIV & VIII outside.
