Hmm, not sure, if I expressed well enough: I am looking for Informations on this specific KD-1, not the KD-1 in general. Up to now, I have found only this photo ...

I was one of the participants in the Great War Forum you referenced earlier. (Did the sketches.) If your interest is solely the Balloon Winch version, I can offer an additional pic, but it provides nothing visually helpful. I can tell you the standard KD 1 was used without alteration, and only the new balloon winch was installed. Cosmetically, higher wooden side boards were added to the bed; other than that, it was the same vehicle.
Some years ago while researching in Freiburg , I ran into a couple second WW tank nuts; one of whom was Hilary Doyle. He was traveling with a number of his recent drawings; one of which was a side view scale drawing of the KD1. I suspect he did his diggings on the vehicle before drawing it; you might check with him. I have lost contact over the years, but he was living in Dublin and would be about 75 years old.
Thank you for your input. Your articles in the Great war Forum are very informative and well researched - thank you very much! I have some potential vehicles on my modelling radar, as the Daimer DZR armoured car, the "Hedi" tank or the Daimler KD-1. The Daimler KD-1 is in itself a very interesting modelling subject, but with the ballon winch it looks much neater! Is it possible to post that additional pic here?
Kind regards
Peter

Pic is from the National Archives; hope it lends some additional details for you. It is also a good close up of the balloon for size comparison.
Incidentally, I do a bit of 3D modeling, and have the KD1 u. 15cm K16 on my list of new models for later this year. If you would like, I'll post the drawings to you when I finish them before printing.

My favourite modelling scale is 1/35 or even bigger! So, it is very hard to find some real good modelling references for that scale. Meanwhile I have received two good pics of the Balloon Winch version from modelling friends. I could send you them per Email, if you are interested in that version too. For the Braille scale modeller, they may give informations enough, but for bigger scale ...
Thanks for posting your pic!
Peter
P.S. Is it possible that you have Swiss or German ancestors?

Indeed, the origin of my ethnicity is Saxony/Hesse. I have traced my ancestry back to the 30 years war. Of the five brothers, four were killed by the Armies of the Holy Roman Empire counter-reformation. The bulk of my early relatives left for America via Bremen Häfen after the 1848 revolution. When America declared war on Germany in April, 1917, there was a rush in my extended family to Anglicize their names; hence Müller became Miller, Meier became Meyer, etc. Unlike today, assimilation was always a determination for German emigrants. Mine was the last generation to be bi-lingual. (If Deutsche is easier for you, please advise me.)
Regarding modeling; my work is exclusively 1/32 scale; it is the scale of tradition.
Yes, I would like to see those fotos. My Email is: //jmueller@htc.net//
