One's memory really does start to wobble as one grows old. This concerns one thing that I might have forgotten and another that I definitely have. Let me explain.
First: I stumbled across this picture of a British tank towing an A7V.
It might be well-known, in which case I apologise. But the British tank looks like a V*. So where might this be and what are the circumstances? And is it me or is there something odd about the cab?
Secondly: I remember reading an account on Landships of the retrieval of Elfriede, written by one of the British tank commanders who took part. Someone posted a link to the account, in which the commander recalls waiting in hiding all day, hoping the Germans wouldn't spot them.

We discussed this picture a while ago - and agreed it showed 528 "Hagen" - or 504 "Schnuck" - being towed away after having been captured near Frèmicourt.
