were Renault FB (porteur) carrying FTs to the Foret de Retz, but now I'm not sure what's what. I've also read Charlie's article, but I'm still puzzled. The FB and FP were definitely different things? Are there any photos to compare the two?

Ah. In GBM 87 Francois V does, indeed, call this vehicle the FB. That makes life complicated. I haven't re-read the article, but I will, tonight.
I think I remember reading somewhere - maybe in Jeudy - that Renault and FAMH collaborated on a project for a large tank, but Renault and/or Estienne felt it was a distraction. I'll do some more reading.
