Hi all, it's been some time since my last post but I need some help with some markings on a Holts gun tractor which has white swastika symbols on it, would like to find which Reg. or Corp. it was used on. Many Thanks!
Unfortunately the site will not let me post an image of the Holts 75 which has the markings on, if of help the image comes from a magazine called Classic Military Vehicle about 2-3 years ago, it was in an article about the British FWD trucks and shows a 75 trying to pull a FWD out of the mud. ( www.keymilitary.com ) Hope this is OK and of some help!
It would be of some help if the site had an attachment for images.
I've not seen the image in question, but at that time the swastika was widely used in Western countries as a symbol of good luck (oh, how things would change...), so depending on the context, it may just be a crew adornment for their vehicle rather than signifying any particular unit.
