The colour of a gun carrier is very likely the same as a British heavy. They also had the white-red-white stripes on the forward horns.
Supply was usually put on the side of the ones converted to supply carriers. Some Mk IV supply tanks also had supply painted on the sponson side. There is a photo of a gun carrier on the Gun carrier thread showing "Kingston". The word 'SUPPLY' is partially obscured by the soldier leaping off the side.
I also don't know but I added them on mine, on going. At the moment I paint the tracks, the engine and will start the weathering. I used the humbrol paint 29 for the camo.
All the best Eric

Thanks Mark! Thought I searched the forum for gun carrier topics, not sure how I missed that! I notice two whiteish squares on the front, any idea what those were for or stood for? Chris
Sorry! Someone else is going to have to supply that information. I'm not sure what they were for either.
