Hi! Long time since I last posted. Checking previous threads, there's some info on the special MMGS modifications of the Ford model T, specifically this one:
Consensus seems to dictate that this might have been used in the Western Front. The wheels and the body of the car seems to be of the same colour, and being a vehicle to be used in an European theatre, I guess it's not painted a light khaki or sand colour, but perhaps a medium brown or brownish green, much like artillery pieces or tanks. Would that be logical to assume that they were painted to match -more or less- the same hue of khaki than the uniforms? there are a small stencilled text at the side of the gunner's seat. I wonder if that's painted white or perhaps grey. What was the usual colour of stencilled texts on the Artillery or Motor Corps?
