This photo turned up on Quora yesterday - apparently taken at the T34 Museum near Moscow. Presumably it is not scale size! Does anyone have more information?
"Sometimes things that are not true are included in Wikipedia. While at first glance that may appear like a very great problem for Wikipedia, in reality is it not. In fact, it's a good thing." - Wikipedia.
It looks approximately to scale. The wheels on my 1:25 cardmodel scale out at 8.75m diameter which looks about the same as the replica.
Nice to see the replica got the spoke pattern right - the spokes are radial not the crossover pattern found on bicycle wheels - there is an image of
the tank before it was broken up which shows this clearly.
I wonder what possessed the museum to do this - it must have been a huge amount of work and materials. Although after the 1:1 scale polystyrene foam Saint-Chamond
built by a French high school some years ago anything is possible.
