In 2022 I noticed that the Imperial War Museum website mentioned an item labelled “KRUPP ARMOUR AND ARMAMENTS TESTING” Catalogue number GWY64. Section iii contained “..A small group of civilians and officers watch the trials of the Leichte Kampfwagen 1 prototype…”.
I got in touch with the IWM and they replied: “We would be able to supply an MP4 viewing copy with IWM logo of this film for use in the UK. The cost woud be £40 plus VAT.” I’ve since searched without success online for this clip & I’m sure the cost would have increased to purchase it direct now.
Does anybody know of where this clip might be obtained outside the IWM? It would be a shame to pay for the privilege if it’s available elsewhere.
This might serve only to demonstrate my ignorance, but: would crowdfunding work in a case such as this? Not that I know how to do it.
