The photograph depicts the Daimler Model 1914 platform lorry( Motor Vehicle 14); or later in the war specifically termed a Kflak Daimler.
It was armed with the Krupp 7,7cm L/27 C14 BAK. Some 57 of these vehicles were delivered to the army by early 1915.
This is a new picture to me; and a very good close up of the breach end of the Krupp gun. Though a posed pic, note the horseman casually riding by to the front of the vehicle.
That looks like a great picture! But it seems broken for me, I can only see the top half of it. It doesn't work even if I save it down on the hard drive. Does it work for others?

There are often bits of information in photographs; look at the loader posing with a round to be chambered. He is an Unteroffizer,.. how likely would he have this responsibility as a crew member? ( Note his leather gaiters.)

Centurian; you are sharing some exceptional photographs! The last attachment is the 21cm Morser "mit radgurtelen".
The former, however, is a very good shot of a late production 7,7cm lFK L/35(Franz.).
These weapon systems were converted from captured M1897 pieces( more than 400 were captured by 1915). All were rebored to the standard German field gun calibre of 7,7cm, all but about 4 feet of their trails cut off, and mounted on a new carraige. It quickly became the most numberous BAK weapon in the German arsenal at the time, and photo evidence shows it serving in virtually every theatre of operation.
Anyone who may have read the book "Fritz" should note this is the weapon his men were armed with while serving on the Russian front, and his crew succeeded in bringing down a Ruski aircraft.

I'm sorry, Centurion, but the picture is actually corrupt for me (and for others, I guess). The bottom half is only gray, even though I download it and view it with a picture viewer or view it in the Opera browser or Internet Explorer.
I would love to see the picture working! :/

I'm not sure what I can do about that - as I said I've merested a link to another site on which the picture appears . I have no control over the picture itsself.
