I have two photo’s depicting the same wooden A7V’s, One is identical to yours, the other slightly different. On the back written in German, of the second photo, it states these wooden tanks were for training, before the real A7V’s arrived.
That’s all I know.

Interesting....pre-deployment units for testing purposes. That is a concept they used again later on with fake training tanks in Russia to bypass the Versailles treaty. I am just posting on my site the latest and most original acquisition. I have a huge collection...only tanks, armored vehicles, some armored trains, and horse back riding soldiers. The A7V "obsession" came later and I posted al my postcards on the home page. Did you see the Afghan FT17?
