Sorry Everyone, as Roger stated, this is a 1/35 scale kit yehaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Sorry, that just plain exciting!!!!!!!!, I took the article at its word, when it spoke about the Emhar kit. So I figured it was 1/72.
It sort of looks 1/72 scale, becouse the tracks look awful in this photo..
Again sorry for the mistake.

Good news, Tim, but only for 1/35 scale modellers!

Now, Sparta are going in a slightly different direction with the announcement of their first 1/35th scale Injection-Moulded styrene kit:.

T-3502: German A7V WW1 Tank

It's a very good choice as previously the only model of the WW1 A7V was the rather 'messy' model from Emhar.

The remark about Emhar is a bit of a red herring, as it was Tauro who made a 1/35 scale kit. Plus, it appears to be a complete kit, rather than just a conversion jobby.

The comment regarding the accuracy of the armoured car puts a big question mark on this kit until some brave soul has paid out a lot of money to check the dimensions.
Bearing in mind that the Lancia costs 80Euros, the cost of this model will put it in the "love to, but can't/wont afford it" class.

It may not be as expensive as the Lancia. The A7V is going to be styrene whereas the Lancia is a resin kit. The photos of the prototype/master don't look too bad; the model has the running gear the wrong way around but I'm sure that it will either be fixed for the production run or easily rectified.

If it isn't prohibitively expensive and is easily available, it should be worth getting.

Wow, that looks fantastic!  All my years of loafing instead os sctrachbuilding the undercarriage to the A7V seems to have finally paid off!  I wonder how soon it will be out and how much it will cost?  And if it will have the Socklafette mount as an option as well as the buck mount?
