I know. Highly evocative. I like the way the woman jumps out of the way of something moving at 3mph.

I was wondering how authentic it is, and have managed to find the following: The tank is built around a Caterpillar D6 dozer and this ensures that it squeaks, clatters and clanks in the right way and makes the ground shake. The body is made from plywood, mild steel angle iron and tin sheeting, but then coated with epoxy and painted in such a way that you can be 2 inches from the sides and be totally convinced that it's real.

It also reverses into the parking space with great confidence, so the interior layout must be an improvement on the original.

There's more. The re-enactment took place at the Blenheim Air Show in NZ. There is a rumour that a further 2 tanks will feature in the next one, whether WWI I don't know. However, PJ has recently completed a short feature film called 'Crossing The Line'. "The twelve minutes of footage features WW1 trench warfare and an aerial battle between Royal Flying Corp and German Air Service biplanes." It has been made to test some new camera technology, and you can see a 30" clip on the Net. No tanks in it as far as I know, but here's a still from Blenheim to be going on with:
