he says that the hotchkiss machine guns were used as a replacement for the lewis machine guns. he also says the rails for the unditching equipment did appear in the form portrayed in the kit, but only on late mk4 tanks.
my query is; i can't find any photgraphic or movie evidence for this. i haven't seen any mk4 tanks equipped with hotchkiss guns and/or the inverted unditching rails. all of the mk4 tanks in my photo and film collections are using lewis guns.
are there any photos or films that show the hotchkiss fitted to female mk4 tanks?

I have only seen Hotchkiss MG's fitted to a male Mk IV. It's not impossible that they were fitted to the females but as you say there are no photos to back it up.
Just put the Mk IV Female together,I found the unditching rails to come rather high over the stowage box.I swapped the rails left to right to get the'L' shape facing inwards. It looks like the photo on p43 Osprey British MkIV .Also I found the tracks came out a link short ,is it me? I also replaced the Hotchkiss guns with some styrene tube. The Lewis guns with the Emhar male look a bit short.
