I built it a long, long, long time ago.

I can't say much about accuracy, but the details look good to me. The only thing would be the fenders that are too thick, naturally.

Reviresco's offering ARE chunky in general, with over-size rivets, etc. The shape, however, is in general correct, but they do need a lot of work. Don't expect them to just fall together

I rate them as wargaming oriented, but they are in the upper segment. I have built a fair number of Reviresco kits, and if there are no other offerings by other companies, I do give them a try.

Wasn't Roden or RPM working on a Rolls in plastic?
I'd wait for that one.

The Reviresco stuff is ok, like Peter says. I think some kits are better than others. The service is very good. and with the weak dollar, the prices are attractive. but you should also factor in the cost of postage and packing.

In the UK, it may be cheaper to get a roller from a nearer supplier. Matador, Millicast, Cromwell and Gramodels offer rollers, and they are all in the UK. NRC also offer a model, but i'm not sure where they're located (so you may get hit for P&P)

Have looked at the other Rollers available but they all seem to be a 1920 onwards version, plus I kind of like the look of the Reviresco one compared to the others. Great to hear Roden will make a kit, maybe they'll do some other nice WWI vehicles to go with their WWI aircraft (a Crossley tender would be nice....).

By the way Philthydirtanimal, where did you find the photo of the Vickers Clyno motorcycles on your flickr account? Saw a print of it on ebay but unfortunately missed out on buying it.

As i'm currently a skint student (well, not skint enough that i've spent more of my student loan at the IWM shop than any other place....) i've added the Reviresco 1915 Roller and also the 1915 Thornycroft J type they do to my christmas list, i'll do a review etc of both when I get them and build them. Yet another reason to love good ole' Blighty - one pound is two dollars, so even the complex looking Thornycroft is only �7.50 (about two beers here in London!)
