I am new here so I maybe treading old ground [even after a quick 'search'].
I'm really interested in building a detailed 1:35 [based on Tauro A7V] or larger [scratch] UBERLANDWAGEN but cannot find plans anywhere on the net.
Plans have been alluded to as appearing in a book, which appears to be out of print, for the standard UBERLANDWAGEN plus an engineer's version with cranes fitted plus an artillery version etc etc.
Cany anyone help with large / detailed PDFs?
ALSO, how much of a 'bind' is it to use the Tauro kit? - I have read that the suspension is inaccurate, but I like the sound of a basic engine block and drivers position to work with...

Regarding the Tauro kit of the A7V, the bogie units, drive sprocket, idler and tracks are all fairly good. The remainder of the suspension and hull underside are completely inaccurate, which is a bit of a problem considering that so much is visible on the Uberlandwagen. With a good reference, such as the Hundleby/ Strasheim book, it's not too difficult to scratch build the chassis using structural plastic or brass. The return rollers will also need to be scratch built. If the model is to be viewed from the underside, a transmission unit will need to be built. If not, you might get away with making only the covers for the large reduction gears, which extend nearly to ground level. PM me if you need some help with the references for the A7V suspension.
