Hi, it was a hell of a job but got no more time left to finish it.
The price was low and sold within 22 hours.Maybe to low but I really didn't know if someone was interested. But after all the mail I received there was a lot of interest.Got over 10 questions if I had more of these tanks. And a lot of mail of dissapointed people who were too late.Sorry,1 was enough work.
Maybe Trumpeter or tamiya will come up with a 1/16 for a chance.Enough Panther and Tigers ! We want a good Mark IV model for sale.......keep on dreaming......it's sad but true.

all best,

Max

Hi Max lovely model out of my pocket at the moment unfortunatly , I would however be happy with any RC WW1 1/16 tank that any of the manufacturers could devise a schnieder would be reeeaaaally nice.......

Cheers

I don't care about the size or what kind of WW1 tank.
But there must be a manufacturer somewhere who must realise there is not 1 good WW1 tank availible !Not the hight standard like the Dragon Tigers 1/35 and other smart kits.I really like these kits. After building a Emhar Mark IV (for example) I realize how easy it can be building a good kit with good tracks etc.
Tamiya came up with the Char, wich is a little WW1 styled tank so there is hope.

Hi Max ,

I don't want to disturb your dreams, but in the matter of fact Tamiya,Dragon and some
other greát model-companys are looking for mass production. Cause the plastic-inc forms
are very expensive by tooldesign they must be a great market for every model .
Tigers and panthers are unfortunally more known worldwide than a Mark IV .
Please believe that if the management would have seen a big business they would have
thrown Mark IV's and brothers allready on market since years.

Best regards

Gerd

Tamiya is a big manufacturer, but come up with a Char is a big risk. Also the LeClerq tank is not that famous or popular.
And what about the really awful 1/48 serie !They keep on pushing with the rebuilt 1/35 in the scale of 1/48.I can tell you, this is no good managment.

Meanwile Dragon comes with 3 new WW2 tanks a month for a reasonable price If the serie is almost complete they start over again with the same kits as premium or smart serie.Or with the superb Expo serie from famous tank commanders. Thats what you call good managment.

So there is hope for a Tamiya Mark I,II,III,IV,V  or A7V

all best from Holland,

a dreamer.......

Dear Max,

I never said that Tamiya or Dragon has a good management but only wanted to explain
how the mind is founded of them. Clearly -at any sort of great companys there are many
examples where you can say : Why don`t they ask the customers ?
I think here at VW -best ideas are standing in there own museum ....

Asuming to yours and savely from us all wish about quality modells of the Mark series
i -and i think also some other gents here on board are wondering why eastern companies
didn't know about the interests esecially of the modell-builders in Great-britain or the
very big market in USA - M48-M60- M 1- again and again ?
You are right -they are fools...but look at the sentence about Dragon a line under..

To take a step in french market with their "char" and the Le Clerq ?

One word to your's example of Dragon management: They only want to squeeze out
the production rate of their forms. Thats all .

So let us all dream of better times

Best regards

Gerd

Hi Gerd

in fact there are manufacturers who make nice Mark tanks and after market stuff.
I recently built a Interus (from Ukrain) Mark V Hermaphrodite 1/35.Although the tracks are a little to width (23 inch instead of 20 or 25 inch) and the 6-pounder is awful ,this model is really fantastic. But difficult......Much better than the Enhar kits .It has a very unusual way of building. And lot of sprue. It took me 2 days to clean all seperated tracks.
The after market stuff 1/35 is very hard to find but I found 3 sets of the ModelCellar seperated track links for the Mark tanks and 1 set for a Whippet. The same company sells the Cribs (trench crossing device). Also found 2 sets with photo-etched parts for the Mark IV tank in Portugal.
The Panzershop from Tjechie had a few nice sets but also hard to get.I recently bought a set of 25 icnh resin tracks for the Mark V but they were horrible.

But I will keep on dreaming....wow men ,a Dragon Mark IV 5in1 smart premium kit including  aluminium barrels and Lewis guns/Hotchkiss and so onwih seperate track links and an option to built a German version with the correct canons..............................don't wake me..........

gr. Max
