1/32 Super Detail Lewis Machine Gun in Resin

This'll be my first post on these forums so hello to everyone.

I have decided to fill some spare time by making scale model firearms to the greatest accuracy and detail I can achieve.

The first one I have completed is this 1/32 Lewis gun, I've included pictures of the bare resin castings and work in progress as well as one I have painted myself, although I see the project as a modelling one rather than a painting one. I am getting a limited run of castings made of each model I complete. Anyone interesting a copy should e-mail me at whmmodels@yahoo.com. They are £6 each.

Please comment as all critism is welcome, also ideas for other interesting subjects would be appreciated.

Great castings! Very nice, I've only made a 1/32 Lewis gun, from Copper State Models, and it was a combo of resin parts and photoetched surface details. Mine looks rather awful, mostly because my lack of skill than the quality of the PE details!
Maybe it was present only on the aviation models with the cut-out cooling jacket, but don't the magazines had a small leather strap in the centre?

there seem to be a variety of magazines, I went with the one on my primary reference pictures. I'll be doing an aircraft version too eventually, the mag is taller on those too.

I made one in 1/35 but your detail is far superior, May I suggest an MG08/15 "light mg" for your next project. ANd maybe some mortars in the future if you are going to continue with these projects. I would be interested in an MG08/15 if you get round to it.

Sorry this is an old topic - but if you haven't got one yet, get one NOW! Absolute beauties - I know several people real Lewis's and spent last weekend field stripping and carrying about Lewis's, and these models are absolutely spot on, can't fault them at all and good enough to build a diorama just to feature the Lewis
