While browsing in a used bookshop recently, I came across an interesting title "Die Deutschen Freikorps 1918 - 1923", by F.W. Oertzen (F. Bruckman Verlag, 1936). I couldn't afford the book, but I did persuade the proprietor to let me copy this interesting photo from the book. The caption states that it shows a LK III tank being used by a Freikorps unit in 1920. I had been under the impression that the LK III never got beyond the drawing board. This tank seems much larger than the LK II, and superficially resembles a Medium B.
It looks like I'm der Aprilscherz today Sincere apologies to Forge World, the Axis History Forum, and my translator, Mistress Ursula, for their innocent involvement in this blatant hoax! Now, where's that photo of the captured A7V on display in Warsaw?...oh yes, over there under my copy of the Hitler Diaries...
