Over the last few weeks I have worked to organize my technical drawings of German WW1 Era Field and Foot Artillery.I have posted many of them to my web site.I have made a good start of it but have a great many drawings and photo images to go.These should be useful to identify different patterns of German Artillery. In some cases, I have attached a more detailed image.Simply click onto these to get to the more detailed image.I eventually hope to have all of the images backed up with detailed images of this type. Most importantly, I have also organized the Limbers, Caissons and Barrel Wagons along with their respective artillery piece. They are roughly to scale. I do not believe another web site or research work has done this, pairing the majority of German Artillery types with their accompanying vehicles. Please see the main web site for actual artillery examples within in the collection, as well as, the German Artillery Related section for German horse harnessing used within the Field and Foot Artillery. Unfortunately, I have not found dimensional information for the 17cm. S.K. L/40.However, I will review my notes more closely to confirm this. Soon I should add in a few photos of the 17cm. from Das Geraet der schweren Artillerie by Schirmer.
Thank you again for the excellent technical drawing of the 7,7cm lFK 96 Caisson. A simplified modification of this drawing is used in the Field Artillery section. I am very glad you like the addition
I have found a bit of information that seems to contradict T Battery RHA, 14th Brigade service locations in the Middle East.
I have found details of five T Battery Royal Horse Artillery dead. All are on the Western
Front with a range of dates from 1916-1918:
Reynard, Ernest. T Battery. 14th Brigade. Died 31 AUG 1916. Buried at Dantzig British Cemetery. The only reference I have found placing T Battery 14th Brigade in Egypt and the Middle East
like The Bastard War on the Mesopotamia Champaign, apparently do not mention T Battery or the 14th Brigade. It would seem that either the Long Trail reference is in error, or the 14th
Brigade and T battery with it, moved to the Western Front (at least by April 1916 and stayed
there until at least August 1918).I am still looking for more information.
