I've just completed my first model kit in three decades, the Emhar 1/72 Mark IV male kit with the matador sponsons, tracks and stowage. The figures are from the Emhar set with the heads of a couple swapped over to get the figure looking at the tank.
It's called 'Blimey! I wonder if Alf's seen one of these yet' - my great-uncle Jack was with the QVR at Cambrai and would have seen tanks, his brother Alf was with the RFA and both were quite mechanical. So I made up this imaginary scene in which Jack comes across a tank and wonders what his brother would have made of it.
It's far from the greatest model on the planet, but I'm badly out of practice!
I was too embarrassed to post pictures of 'my first model in 30 years', but I think I'll follow your lead and see if I can dig up some photos (Matchbox's FT 17).
