I asked a while back about Convoy Models (although can't through the thread via the search function) - has anyone had any experience with them? I sent a stamped address envelope off to them a few days back for their pricelist, as I badly want their Albion A10 as i'm certain they're the only people that do one. If/when I get the list i'll post it for anyone interested

Long ago.... I ordered a Mk V*, although there was some delay before it arrived. It may have been one of the first casts as there were some problems with the detail around the cab, and no semaphore. It is now part of my loft collection.

I get the impression that they are rarely quick with orders, but do eventually get around to it.
Perhaps it is a question of timing, and if they have some already boxed, you may be lucky.

Michael, I think you might be confusing Convoy and Cromwell.

Thank you. You are, of course, correct.
Mea culpa!

Convoy is indeed hard to contact and to obtain. Best chances are to go to the Trucks 'n Tracks show in the last weekend of february, where they always have a stand. Unfortunately, they don't always have everything in stock with them.

Michel.

Thanks. Hopefully i'll receive a reply to my self addressed envelope, if I don't hear anything i'll try phoning/e-mail. Personally don't quite get why they don't just put the prices on the website, seeming as the details of how to order etc are on there

Seems strange that its only the WW1 models that are lacking prices on their site, could be a case of made to order !
Just my thoughts

cryJust for your information regarding the Convoy Models website, they don't have one that is controlled by convoy models themselves. There is a Convoy Models Fortune City site which someone else has posted without Convoy's knowledge. This has recently come to light as I am preparing to construct them a new site. The email address shown is incorrect and there is a fax number which hasn't been in use for 3 years although the telephone number is correct. This site seems to have been constructed by someone with good intentions, but as we don't know who they are we can't get it corrected or taken off. The prices shown on the site are also incorrect. When the new site is up and running I will post details.

Oh yes you can get rid of the website.

If the site is using the Convoy trademark or purporting to act for Convoy without a
written agreement with Convoy's owners then they are in deep shit.

All that's required is an email to Fortune City complaining about the site - the proforma of the complaint is at: https://secure.fortunecity.com/common/agreements/otherlegal.php?siteid=55527. Fortune City is a US ISP and is governed by DMCA.

Too easy...

Regards,

Charlie

During the On Track show in Folkestone, I talked to Rose of Convoy on her models. One of her previous casters has gone off with a number of molds and masters, which is why she hasn“t got so much in stock at the moment. If anyone sees Convoy“s models being sold by someone else than Rose, it“s time to sound the alarm. Convoy“s present e-mail address is rosemaryjune(at) talktalk.net.
