Fort de Barchon, Liege, August 1914

Hi,

I can't resist presenting the great work of a Belgian friend of mine, Mathieu Pascal, member of several Historical Associations, who realized this 21cm Morser M1910 in position in front of the Forts of Liege, in August 1914.

He realized an impressive conversion of the 1/35 Verlinden Kit #1022 (not sold anymore since 2007), based on several existing models pictures and old photographs I gave him.

This kit will be exposed in the Museum of the Barchon Fort (Liege), from spring 2010.

The author decided not to expose a 42cm Bertha, more notoriousm because most of the Liege forts have been shelled and pushed to reddition by the 21cm howitzers only, as well as some old 305.
