Matador Models Ford Model T Ambulance
Permalink

I've always been after a decent Ford model T for use as a British vehicle. I wasn't a fan of the RPM kit but i'm very pleased with the look of the Matador Models variety, which was designed by Scalelink. I'm partway through building it, but here's a quick photograph of the kit parts - obviously some parts need cleaning up, and straightening! Luckily the metal is easily bendable so that shouldn't be too much of a problem, and it cleans up easily

Bit of an update - ideally i'd get rid of the seat, as, looking at photos I took of an original ambulance, it should have it, as the seat is on the bodywork. As a sort of compromise as I can't remove the seat, i've chopped the piece of the roof that goes above the cab off, and will have it lower down to fit the top of the windscreen, and make up the gap with tissue covered in PVA or similar

You should try to refine the windshield frames as well. They were usually of the "knock-down" type.
