Resently I've found 2 interesting fotos of a Russian 120/50-mm coastal gun in a role of a heavy field piece - a trophy of the German troops in WWI. May be anybody have another fotos of such a gun?
It was a French Canet gun built in Russia around 1900.
The images seem to show only the barrel transport vehicle - are you sure it shows a captured gun? - the towing vehicle looks like a Holt tractor.
Regards,
Charlie
Thank you, Charlie, for your answer!
But the gun, pictured on the fotos, is 120/50 mm coastal gun of the Obukhov plant system 1908! http://mega.km.ru/weaponry/encyclop.asp?TopicNumber=1457
On the foto with the Holt 75 h.p. tractor behind it one can see the platform vehicle with thumb and elevating mechanism.
It's the German's trophy for sure - there were German soldiers walking around it.

I have not infomation about 120mm Obukhov L50 M1908 gun. Have you more information and/or images (specially in field use)? Nothing is said about this gun in this link: http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNRussian_Main.htm
Only 120mm L50 M1905 Vickers-OSZ. Is it the same gun?
