Well I am getting there. This time I added the side plate to the turret opening. I made it the same width as the Emhar kit. I drilled out the vision port by drilling two holes and cutting the plastic in between. The pistol port cover is from .010x.040(.25x1.016mm) strip styrene that I rounded at the end and cut to a point. I also drilled out the sponson vision port as well. On the inside I blancked off the vision ports and added a shelf for the gun turret. Next I will post the turret and show it all assembled.
the pencil sharpener illustrates how small this scale actually is, amazing how much still can be done on improving, scratch building etc. Thanks again for the measures: makes it much easier to scale things up when improving a 1/35 kit too!
Thanks Kieffer. I will post the gun turret soon. I still need to add the strip in front of the turret opening and the machine gun as well as the Archer rivets. When I put it on the Emhar kit it looks much better now.
