Thanks for that...smile WWI is one of my favourite periods for modelling...the tanks have always held an interest for me, but also the planes..is there a section here for them or is it just (loose use of the word just) land based equipment ??

There are a couple of  flying craft - the Draken spotting balloon, and a KuK helicopter, but only because they relate to artillery. Other than that, there are no flying things here. Nor submarines or other boats. I believe there are a lot of fora that do discuss those items, but I've never looked.
