Well this is the base coat for my Hat Renault FT. Do not adjust the settings on your monitor it really is that gaudy! However all is not lost as I have quite a few more steps to go before it is done. I still have the tracks to paint and there is still a bit of touch up left to do. The colors are brush painted using Tamiya paints. The sand is Desert Yellow lightened a great deal with white and the other colors are Brown and Field Gray. I just wanted to show that progress is being made and I hope you all like it so far. It represents no particular tank but I hope to paint in some markings when it is completely dry.
Thank you all for the encouragement. I painted the tracks with gun metal and I am now planning on the markings. They will be simple as I intend to weather it quite a bit. I will say this though, I have been to a lot of forums but this is the best! Everyone is so helpful and encouraging as well as very polite. Some forums I have been to have had some of the nastiest post I have ever seen. People tearing each other down and arguing like children. But not here. It is a fascinating and highly knowledgeable group of people here. Thank you all.
