Pre-painted WW1 models
Permalink

Hello,
I'd like to buy some pre-painted models of WW1 tanks, armoured cars and armoured trains (if there are any). I'm interested in every scale. Please let me know which companies make such models. I know of The Old Northwest Trading Co. www.oldnwtc.com They make pre-painted models in 1/32 scale.
Thanks in advance,
Albert

Albert, have a look at this thread:

http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=63528&p=3&topicID=37397315

I'm really not sure if World Tanks Depot (WTD) are still in business, or if they ever really were. But the Wespe models look OK. I have just had a look on Wespe's site and can't see the Renaults, but I still think they still do them. Their (Wespe) site says to contact them if you want ready made models.

There are also a few die cast WW1-ish models around:

And there are these two from Weston Toys, but they aren't painted:

Oh, yes, and Preiser make a lot of pre-painted 1/87 figures that seem to be for the period between the Franco-Prussian War and the Great War.

Hope some of that is useful.

Oh yes, I remember, I've seen it before, I hate MGs looking like small cannons.

I found this: http://www.panzerdepot.com/ (1/144 scale)

And also Japanese company Pro Hobby makes pre-painted WW1 tanks in 1/144 scale (available on eBay).

Are there companies, other than The Old Northwest Trading Co., that make expensive, historically accurate pre-painted models in scales around 1/35?

Hi Ian,

Every pre-painted model of tank, armoured car or armoured train is interesting for me and I'll consider buying it, depending on price and quality. I have no talent for modelling, but I'm a big fan of WW1 armour and would like to have some models smile
