FT marking and rusting
Permalink

Well I painted a white circle and used a Sharpie marker to draw the heart on it. I painted the muffler Tamiya Red Brown then added MIG Pigments European Dust to it to experiment on a rusty effect. Next up will be a wash on the details and mud applied to the tracks.

That rusty exhaust looks great.

Q: The marker (sharpie?) looks a little shiny. Will a matt clear coat make it go matt, or will it still be shiny?

It should go flat after I apply a flat coat. Since this is a bit of an experiment so I will find out when I apply it. The the plan is it will work but you know how plans go!

I have added a coat of Pledge Floor Wax with Future to the FT and it seems to have darkened the black markings and lines and has reduced the ink look from the marker.
So far, so good.
