I wonder if someone out there answer me a couple of questions

 What capacity were the flimsies? Did they use the 5gallon ones like the early WW2?

I ask because these are already available at Milcast models. has anybody tried these?

Looking at their site they have a model of a Whipett. The photographs look interesting as it has more details. This has not been covered by Landship on the kit review. Has anybody got this model in their collection, if so how do you rate it?

At Easter I am going up to Glasgow (city of culture no less!). I unerstand there are still model shops there. Can anyone tell me where to look!

I have the flimsies from Milicast. I bought the accessories pack, and some come with the Rolls Royce Armoured Car that has been re-tooled since the Landships1 review. They are great.

The Milicast Whippet was reviewed on Landships1, here:
http://www.landships.freeservers.com/whipkitmc.htm

but the photo has dropped off the page. It doesn't matter really, because, again since that review on Landships1, Milicast have re-tooled the kit.

I believe Cromwell Models are also in Glasgow, so you could drop by and pick up a bunch of WW1 kits, and then sell them to us!

And that seems to be about the only way you will get them from Cromwell. I've been trying just to get  aprice on a kit and he doesnt even respond to that, never mind sell any.

The 5 gallon ones weren't used in WW1 - only the 2 gallon;

I would'nt bother going to see Cromwell Models, I've searched various business listings and none have any opening hours listed. Jamiesons Models at the Saltmarket is an excellent shop and if anyone can give you any local knowledge on Cromwells then I think Iain and his staff will be able too.
