Rare gun in Australia
Permalink

It's rare for Australia since I think it's the only survivor. It's a 15cm sFH M93 - captured on the Western Front in 1918 - no information about when or where though.

The gun is in a small town - Nyah on the Murray River in Victoria. it's in fairly good condition exept for the lack of wheels.

Regards,

Charlie

Charlie,

Yes, it is a 15cm s.F.H 1893.  I have one of these restored to firing condition in my collection.  This is the link:

There are sevral examples of the 15cm sFH "93 in the USA with another good example at the Kansas City Memorial Museum:

Hiya lads,

The Musée de l'Armée in Paris seems to have one, at least I have seen an old picture of one on display. The collection at the Artillerieschule at Idar Oberstein also has one...

With kind regards,

-Arie
