Corrected 1/72 Emhar Mk.IV Sponsons
Permalink

Hi All,

I finally got around to building something for myself... the Emhar Mk.IV.

I'm sure everone here knows what a nice little kit it is but spoilt by the incorrect 90 degree backed sponsons.

To be honest it's not that hard to fix and seeing as I have three other Mk.IV's waiting their turn it made sense to mould them.

I boxed in the gun shield area so that the original Emhar shield could be cut down to position the gun where ever I wanted it rather than being stuck with a moulded in gun shield in a fixed position.

While I was at it I made up a correctly shaped unditching beam which hopefully will look the part sat on top of the rails once I've built them.

That's it for now.

Cheers

Bern

BTW if anyone's interested in a set Michel at Black Lion Decals will be stocking them.

Thanks, Bern, they look great. Looking forward to getting my hands on them.

Will these also be under the "Mister X" brand name?

Yes all my stuff will be under the Mr. X brand... it's daft name I used when I was doing Sci-fi castings but now I've started using it it's sort of stuck hmm

I don't think it's a daft name; I rather like it. And it's one of Ultravox's better tunes.

So, how is the Ford Model T Armoured Car (Admiralty Pattern) coming along? And the Seabrook?! smile

biggrin Great plug! Hadn't really thought about a Model T A/C but a Seabrook is on the

"To Do" list. It's a long way down as I don't have much reference material for it... so if anyone can point me in the right direction it may jump up a couple of spots.

This looks great. Especially the extra armour plates on the rear.

Will this be a whole conversion kit available from Mr X, or is this something you're doing for fun?

smile

Thanks PDA.

Really it's just for fun although the sponsons and unditching beam are a Mr X kit, the tracks are from my Mk.I kit but depending how big the demand for the Mk.I is I may offer them separately.

I haven't made moulds for the rear aroured plates but it wouldn't take much to do another set to use as masters... and I do have a lot of Mk.IV's sitting in the loft aww
