Africa Corps! I took this colour scheme from the Mark IV in the Bovington Museum. The markings are based on the one in the Imperial War Museum.

Here is the captured German variant.

There is a repository for WW1 related materials associated with this forum - www.landships.info (aka Landships II). PM me if you would like the models to be on the website. I haven't (as yet) a clue how to handle Blender files on Landships II - could be an interesting challenge.

The Bovington Mark IV has been repainted a number of times - the only tank we're fairly sure is in the original paint is Lodestar III at the Brussels Army Museum. To my eye the Brussels tank is a different shade of brown - certainly darker.

Rainer Strasheim in his recent book(s) on the Beutepanzers suggests the captured Mark IVs were painted in Belgian railway colours - green | red-brown | cream/amber. The Germans never used captured Mark Vs. The Red Army did though - using captured Mark Vs after the Allies evacuated from Russia.

Thanks for the offer of hosting the model, but I've got to put it up on Turbosquid to help try and cover the mortgage. Thanks for the offer though. I've re-done the German one (I'm figuring that even if they were mostly MK IV's there may have been one or two MK Vs!). After your suggestion, I've looked up the Russian ones and I've done a Red Army one.
