RPM Model T Ambulance in 1/48
Permalink

The title says it all, really. Seems to be new.

Two versions, although I'm not sure what the difference is.

It's gonna be the same as with their 72nd scale Mack trucks, same sprues and decals for different versions with different box-artwork.By the way, they re-released the 72nd scale ambulance with nice decals, for little money, though they have some ugly sink-marks good value for money.

Wow, i'm very impressed - at last, a highly accurate kit of the Ford model T. Looks like it would be very suitable for conversion to other Ford model T types, including a Crewe tractor (does 1/48 match up to any railway scale?)

I'm following this build and am looking forwards to seeing ergies finished model.smile

The detail on the model straight out of the box looks superb.

I do wish manufactures wouldn't mould in such dark plastic, I find it difficult to deal with. I usually spray a very light coat of car grey primer on the parts while still in the sprue, has anyone other ideas?

This black plastic is  very good. The bottom of the model can easily brush Valejjo Model Color painting.

Nice full size build, and a shame about your build ergie. I do really like this 1/48 Ford from RPM, a huge improvement on their 1/72 and 1/35 versions. Perhaps they'll downsize or upsize this brilliant 1/48 version? Would be nice to make a rear body for a 1/35 version of this as a late war British light patrol car alongside the Roden Rolls Royce....
