French 155mm C mle 1917 Howitzer Limber
Permalink

Does anyone have photographs or drawings of the French version of the 155mm C mle 1917 Howitzer Limber?  Are there examples in collections or museums in Europe of this limber?

This is a limber that fits under the towing eye of the howitzer and does not contain munitions.  It appears to me that the French used a different variation of this limber from the one that was commonly seen in US Service with the Schneider 155mm, although it also seems both types were produced in the Untied States.  The limber could be horse drawn or motor drawn.

Thanks for any help

Well, it looks like what I traded for as a 155mm Howitzer Limber is most likely a Limber for the 240mm Schneider Howitzer.  (See photos).

Does any collection or museum need a French/US 240mm Schneider Howitzer Limber?
