I just realize I spend almost one year without any model and I try to cure this problem with a new project : the Renault D1.
The tank is very interesting as it links the FT17 ancestor with the WW2 generation and the new french company "Blitz" (http://blitz-kit.com) just release it in resin.
The model comes in two versions (the main battle tank and the experimental command vehicle) and Blitz commercialize a nice decal sheet with different markings convering the tank's long operational life.
THe model is very nicely detailed with an especially nice suspension :
As part fit very well together, I try to add as many details as possible, completing especially the trench crossing tail to display the towing hook in raised position :
The kit could also be improved using the RPM FT17 PE parts to detail the different tools and boxes fittings :
There is a few more work to finish before painting, but I'm very happy with this new project and hope I could finish it this month.
They shall grow not old,as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.
