Today i've visited the "Bayernwald" site (Kemmelberg-W Flanders-Belgium), price was 3 Euros/adult (I have paid it for four of us), at entrance you only should put in a code number to open the gate (no control), so I advise by One ticket (with the number code) and enter with the whole bus . Don't know if there is any control on other days.
Site was deasppointing me, trenches not deep enough, looks very clean and "modern"
You bad lad!! Wish I'd thought of that last year, but I guess we didn't know.
I have to say that, whilst it was interesting enough to walk around, the site did feel like "much of a muchness". In fact, the best bit was looking out across the shallow valley beyond and estimating where the British lines would've been. Probably wasn't helped by the rain (which always seems appropriate).
The irritating bit was fending off the cheapskates who kept trying to persuade us to let them in for free. In the end, I disappeared into a trench - not easy when you're 2m tall.
