Check this trailer out - http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1117058 - to see a very quick shot of a Big Bertha firing in a direct-fire role! The scene is time tag 1:34. Riduculous, but I like it anyway.

It seems to be a Dicke Berta, but the barrel is too long and it only has one top recoil cylinder. At first I thought it was the 1918 follow-up of the DB, either the 30,5cm Haubitze L/25 or the 24cm Kanone L/43, but these too had two top recoil cylinders. Neither of these guns saw action and I doubt they ever got beyond the designing stage...
Charlie: The lMW could be fired with the wheels attached, as long as the tail is fitted (which is correctly depicted in this movie).
Nevertheless, I enjoyed the first movie (and I know I am opening a can of worms with this) so I look forward to seeing this one.

I was going to mention that myself, but I was too lazy to bother. Plus, it's a fantasy film, a piece of entertainment, it's not meant to be taken as historically accurate so criticism on that basis would be somewhat on the redundant side. Clearly, the art director/designer has seen pictures of the Big Bertha and thought, "That'll do for a start!" whilst using artistic license to muck about with the overall look of it.
Saw the film today, really stunning - despite inaccuracies very enjoyable and realistic explosions and gunfire sequences etc - the firing sequence of the Big Bertha is really superb and something I've always wanted to see on film
