From pictures I've seen, it's not like the gray-green of the World War Two uniforms, but somewhat lighter. Does anyone know which shade is right, and what paint to use? Thanks.
Hit the "Search" item in the forum menu bar above and enter feldgrau as a search term Long Tom, you should find several suggestions and discussions on the uniform colour concerning which I am not qualified to add. Any comment or update on those older posts will, no doubt, help others in times to come.

As it happens, I'm doing a figure of the ICM German Assault Troops set, and it's to be a Freikorps figure. Would WW2 German uniform green be acceptable then, if I read the chart correctly?
Hi there Long Tom, and Hello to all on Landships. Been away at the new job. I see this uniform discussion come up alot, so since your doing Freikorps figs, I wouldn't recomend WW2 field grey, as this shade likely emerged as part of the Whermacht rearmarment after 1935. your best bet is Humbrol 31 slate grey. I use this for all my normal figures, for my jagers I use humbrol 88 Deck green, and it seems to give a nice sharp contrast as in the real life uniforms. bear in mind that I only draw off Osprey Publishing books on the subject, so I myself am only left to make assumptions on colors based on their interpretation. I may be 130 in mind and soul, but my body is still only now 24.
Greetings, Josh
