Hello,

this my first presentation of the model here on forum. During the viewing photos here, I find the photos of this tank with this visage, it has interested me so I decide to make it myself. Modular basis is from EMHAR 1:35. I am a beginner for only one year, so the model may has some gaps, but I tried hard. I donīt know, why is on both sides the square system, so if anybody knows the answer, give me some information about it.

Thanks for your advices.

The idea behind the black lines on the sponsons was to disguise the location of the vision slits. German troops were

trained to aim at the vision slits since even if rounds didn't penetrate the slits splinters could enter the tank and

blind any crew looking out through the slit. The disguise was often as simple as a black "Z" with the slit as one of

arms of the letter. Some crews seem to have got quite carried away as in your model. There is a thread a few weeks

back of a model Schneider CA1 which has similar black lines around the vision slits.

Regards,

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

thanks for your answer, I originally thought that this is a personal marking crew, because I do not seen it on any other tank in this design yet. Thank you for the explanation.

I notice that the tracks doesn't seem to sit straight. But apart from that, the finished model looks really nice!

Hello,

thanks for your reactions and reminders. I attach original photos of the original artwork of the model.

About tracks - I have used gum from building kit, but the work is with it is very bad - not flexible. On the next model I have used the tracks of resin, because it seems more realistic.
