Being written in a tabloid, accuracy shouldn't be vouched for, so possibly for 85mm read 75mm? Some years ago, a howitzer was found melting out of a glacier in the Tyrol. Guns were hauled up into the mountains & emplaced in ice caves.
Looking at the images the projectiles seem to be about the same calibre. I'd guess the projectiles were Austro-Hungarian 10.4cm for Skoda Gebrigskanone
(mountain gun). I'm not sure about 75mm though - most of these were cartridge ammunition rather than separately loaded.
Which reminds me: what happened to our fellow enthusiast from Greece who was unearthing WWI ordnance on the Salonika Front, using a pickaxe? We haven't heard from him for some time.
