Stock is probarbly running out and will eventually likely be re-issued, basically each re-issue is X000 kits the reissue doesnt happen untill the demand is high enough to justify it.. perhaps their holding out for 2014

Believe this was covered recently but I can't find the topic - does anyone know why some Emhar kits, especially the A7V, are Becoming hard to find? I've only been looking for the A7V but in general they don't seem as widely available as a few years ago
I'll look around. last time I bought one was about a year ago, a walk away on ebay. it seems with it being so hard to find, you can sometimes get it easier than the Germans got douamont...

depends upon how much your will to spend on one, but if by rare you mean high price, I'd say one under 30 dollars American is pretty good. that plus being the economic hardship we're in over here in the states, the exchange rates should still be in your favor... I buy a lot on ebay in the way of lone model kits, if I need a big order I used to go to smallscale.de, but to my knowledge Till Huber isn't operating it anymore. anyway, see if this is to your liking.

If you really really want the 1/35 Whippet, I have one. I even know where to find it, fairly easily, unlike the 1/72 A7v, which may be residing in a cupboard behind many, many other things. As life is short, and some kits really do not deserve too much time to produce the typical Emhar disappointing result and questionable accuracy, do please let me know if you want the thing, and I will retrieve it from its present position of honourable retirement, (opened but intact), and we can come to a mutually beneficial arrangement. As is evident from the proliferation of material from all eras of plastic kits which continues to appear for sale online, these products probably say more about the aspirations of the guileless purchasers than they do about the satisfaction of achieving a satisfactory result. I hope you find my response encouraging.
Thanks Josh, problem is i'm in the UK, they are available on eBay over here but ones i've seen go for double the RRP when they were available not too long which i'm not majorly willing to do - they're not perfect out of the box so a bit unwilling to spend, say, Ł12 on a plastic kit which won't be spot on when I can spend a little bit more and treat myself to something that out of the box will be spot on like a WD Models kit or other resin/metal kit.
Michael, I would be interested in the 1/35 Whippet please - looking to get one for my Tank Corps display, have got a 1/1 replica Hotchkiss machine gun and a couple of original 6 pounder shells, but unless i'm displaying at the Tank Museum (which I occasionally do), it's nice to have a large-ish representation of a Tank to help with the display.

The St Chamond has a representation of the Holt suspension, I'd recommend buying the laser cut parts with the model though. The base colour of the
Modelik St Chamond doesn't look very good though - blue-grey rather than grey ("gris artillerie") - fixable by scanning and recolouring but that's quite labour intensive.
Many of the WW1 tanks are available as 1/25 cardmodels (Mark IV, Mark A, A7V, St Chamond, K-Wagen) although there isn't a Schneider CA1 and the Renault FT models
are pretty awful.

Just the Emhar 1/72 one thanks - Wanted one for the winter evenings as a relatively straight forward kit in between wrestling with individual 1/76 British tank links!
The Whippet is yours, Rob. I am sure that you will be able to make the necessary improvements and corrections and will make a fine job of it. I may be able to collect it from my home tomorrow, and then send it on with my blessings to a more appreciative home! I need a postal address, of course.
Then again, if you wanted to go to a larger scale and a different medium, there is the card model in 1:25 in the "Modelik" series. Instructions are in Polish, and it looks as if this would be a challenge due to the complexity of the construction method. (There is also a Saint Chamond with an interesting and perhaps accurate depiction of the underskirts of that machine!)
