Retrokit are bringing out a 1/72 FCM 2C.

Here's what they say:, "...the 1/72 FCM 2C... will be available from the end of November."

You can preorder.

Domi also says this, "a number of WWI kits from the discontinued RetroTracks range should also re-appear during the second half of 2013..!"

PDA, thanks for the heads-up!

After some connection issues, I managed to place my pre-order as well.

Previously, I purchased the 5M Model FCM 2C through Tracks & Troops, but it arrived with only half of the tracks (manufacturer's error, not vendor), so this will be my first "complete" FCM.

Hello,

I just received my FCM 2C today and I hope it's OK if I share a few pictures of the kit.

The kit arrived well-packed via air-mail with the major components in separate zip-lock bags.  The sponsons are carefully wrapped in bubble-wrap.

Resin parts seem to be above average quality with minimal flash and bubbles, with sharp rivets.

There are a lot more loose pieces than I anticipated floating around (running gear fixturing and the like), but they seem to be complete and unbroken.  The tracks are interesting, molded in strips of 5 links each, I think with the intent of splitting out each link separately to show some track flex (instructions call for 69 links per side, there appear to be ~150 included in the kit).

Decals (from Black Lion) are provided for two vehicles: "Normandie" (#97) and "Alsace" (#93).  No paint guide is given, but the instructions include a couple of sharp reference photos.  Hand-drawn instructions are limited, but should prove sufficient.

Overall, a very nice little kit and as this is my first order from Retrokit, I wanted to share my positive experience.  Domi kept me updated during the entire order process with the status.
